PLAN YOUR VISIT

It’s Saturday night. Perhaps you’re new to the area, and you’ve been wanting to visit that big, pretty church on Hwy-21 for some time now. Maybe you’ve been away for a while, years even, and you want to come back. Whatever the case, you have that pit in your stomach. “What should I wear?” “How many people will be there, and will they be friendly?” “Will my kids have other kids to play with?” “What about the music?” “And when did the service start again?” “That’s a big building, where in the world do I go?”

While the main worship service starts at 10:30, we really want everyone to get involved with our L.I.N.K.S ministry (Sunday School). It is here that we gather together in small groups with people our own age to study the Bible, pray for one another, and fellowship together. If you’re interested, please drive around to the back of the church to the middle building sometime between 9-9:30 am.

Here you will find our welcome center along with coffee, doughnuts, and volunteers who will gladly show you to your classroom. We have classrooms for children of all ages, as well. After L.I.N.K.S, your fellow classmates will guide you to the main sanctuary for worship.

If you’d prefer to visit for a Sunday morning worship service, which begins at 10:30 am, you’ll come in through the covered, side entrance of the biggest building. You’ll be greeted by someone on our ‘First Impact’ team, who will be able to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to then grab a cup of coffee and head into the sanctuary for worship. Please sit wherever you’d like. We’re all family, and there are no assigned seats. Children are more than welcome to stay for worship, but we do have a nursery (ages 0-2) and children’s church (ages 3-3rd grade) available if you prefer that option.

As far as the worship service is concerned, we have a mixture of traditional hymns and a choir alongside contemporary worship music with a band. We have been blessed with many musicians from various backgrounds, so we try to incorporate these different styles of music into our worship.

After a few songs of worship, we transition to a time where we open God’s Word together. It is during this time that Pastor Dylan will preach exclusively from the Bible. Pastor Dylan believes in expository preaching, which means that on a weekly basis, through careful and prayerful study, Pastor Dylan will seek to discern the Spirit-intended message of a given passage of Scripture in such a way that we all come to understand God’s Word and how to apply it to our lives. This works best by going through the Bible book-by-book, chapter-by-chapter, and verse-by-verse. Through this we get a steady diet of the whole counsel of God’s Word.

After the sermon, don’t rush off. Head to the foyer to meet with Pastor Dylan and other members of MPBC.We'd love to get to know you and answer any questions you may have.
