Giving: At The Heart of Worship

Giving is one of the most joyful acts of worship we can share together. Every gift — no matter the size — becomes part of God’s ongoing work through our church, reaching hearts and changing lives here in our community and beyond. As Paul said to the church in Corinth, “each must give as he has decided in his heart” and “according to their means,” knowing that “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness” (2 Cor. 8:3, 9:7, 10). When you give, you’re not just supporting programs or buildings; you’re investing in eternal impact.

Scripture reminds us that “God loves a cheerful giver.” Giving allows us to express gratitude for all He’s done, to trust Him with what we have, and to join together in the mission He’s called us to — to love God, love others, and make disciples (2 Cor. 9:6-12).

Every dollar given is a seed of faith — a tangible expression of love and trust in God’s provision. Thank you for giving faithfully and joyfully, and for being part of what God is doing through Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
